Allowance Day Video
This is the slide deck I used for my February 2025 small group presentation. This downloads as a pdf. If you want the short version, read my 2021 magazine article instead (replace ฿10 coin with $1 USD).
This is an Excel file I created for my kids to keep track of how much money they have. I keep it in my purse so I always know how much Spend money they have (if I don't have their Spend money with me). It's also a precursor to learning to read a bank statement.
See it in action!
This is a 3-minute video of me giving allowance (and monthly interest) to my then-6- and 4-year-old daughters.

Think Uno, but with money cards!
I was surprised at how much my 7-year-old enjoys this game! We often play it on allowance days, and she has brought it to school for Board Game Days, where her friends enjoyed it too!
This is a great ABC book for kids who are about 4-7 years old. It presents money-related vocabulary such as "earn" and "loan," as well as conversation starters.
This classic game has been updated to include things like careers in Social Media and investments in Space Exploration. It's both fun and educational!
